Justin Zeitlinger

Justin Zeitlinger (BMI, b. 2000) is a composer and violinist based in New Jersey. Justin’s compositional awards and accolades include two BMI Student Composer Awards, honorable mention and finalist designations in the ASCAP Morton Gould Young Composer Awards, as well as other honors from YoungArts, the National Young Composers Challenge, and the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation. He has appeared as a composer on NPR’s From the Top and has received additional performances by members of the Orlando Philharmonic and the PUBLIQuartet. A graduate of the Juilliard School’s Pre-College Division, he currently studies composition at the Eastman School of Music. 

Justin has attended programs for composition and electroacoustic composition at Boston University’s Tanglewood Institute, and in 2018 was selected as one of two apprentice composers for the National Youth Orchestra for the USA under Sean Shepherd. An active violinist as well as composer, Justin previously studied violin at Juilliard Pre-College with Naoko Tanaka and performed in the Juilliard Pre-College Orchestra, once serving as associate concertmaster. He currently studies violin at Eastman with Oleh Krysa.
