Robert Middleton is a prize-winning composer and an active woodwind player and teacher in the New York area, as well as an Assistant Professor of Music at Caldwell University in Caldwell, New Jersey.   Rob’s degrees include a MM from the Manhattan School of Music, and he has studied with Manny Albam, Michael Abene, Ludmila Ulehla, Jim McNeely, and Joe Allard.   His numerous recording credits include both jazz and classical CDs.  Recent classical CDs include Andy Teirstein’s “Open Crossings” and a collection of new music by New Jersey women composers called “Composers in Collaboration”.   His compositions and arrangements are performed regularly in the New York area and have appeared in a major motion picture.  He has performed in New York, around the U.S and abroad with many jazz greats, including Wynton Marsalis, Branford Marsalis, Phil Woods, Harry Connick Jr., Lionel Hampton, The New York Voices, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Lovano, the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra, Woody Shaw, Oliver Lake, David Liebman, Randy Brecker, Jane Ira Bloom, and Jim McNeely.
